Eligibility Criteria for SCERT D.El.Ed. Admission
To be eligible for the SCERT D.El.Ed. course, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
- Resident-ship: Only permanent residents of Assam are eligible to apply.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.
- Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 34 years of age as of 1st July 2024. There is a relaxation of 2 years for SC, ST(P), and ST(H) categories.
Application Fee
The application fee for all categories is Rs. 600, which can be paid online through Internet Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or Wallet.

Exam Details of SCERT PET 2024
The Pre-Entry Test (PET) is scheduled for 8th September 2024. The exam will be held at various venues allocated to candidates based on their selected districts during the online application process. The test comprises 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into two sections, with a total duration of 2 hours.

The PET consists of two sections:
Section I:

- Social Science: 20 Marks (Natural and human resources, atmosphere layers, freedom movement, Indian constitution, democracy principles, Ahom kingdom, ancient urban civilization, state and central government, earth structure, consumer protection, financial institutions, transport, agriculture, industrial development, post-independence India, medieval administrators)
- Language (Assamese/Bangla/Bodo): 15 Marks (Language learning objectives and importance, phrases and idioms, listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, grammar, reading comprehension)
Negative Marking
There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
Reservation of Seats
Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to various reserved categories, including OBC, MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), and Person with Disability (PWD) as per the existing government norms.
