The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially announced the recruitment of 13,735 Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre. The online application process begins on 17 December 2024 and will close on 7 January 2025. Interested candidates are advised to apply before the last date.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government as of 31 December 2024. Final-year students can apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of completing their graduation by the same date.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age as of 1 April 2024. Relaxations in the upper age limit are as follows:
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- ST: 5 years
- PwD: 10 years
Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹750/-
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen: No fee
Payment can be made online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of three stages:
1. Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Exam is an online test designed to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination.

3. Local Language Proficiency Test
Candidates who do not have proof of studying the specified local language at the 10th or 12th standard level will need to take a qualifying Local Language Test. Failure to clear this test will result in disqualification.
Final Selection Process
- The Preliminary Exam is qualifying in nature and will not contribute to the final merit list.
- The final merit list will be based on the Main Examination scores.
- Provisional selection is subject to document verification and qualifying in the Local Language Test (if applicable).
- A state-wise and category-wise waitlist (up to 50% of vacancies) will be maintained for one year.
- Tie-Breaking Criteria: Older candidates will be given preference in case of a tie in scores.
