The main Objective of the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme is to help talented students from economically weaker sections (EWS) by making higher education affordable. It aims to create better career opportunities for these students.
Who Can Apply?
This scholarship is for students who are studying in government or private colleges, universities, or industrial training institutes (ITIs) under the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). It is available for general and technical courses, including combined courses after Class 12. The scheme also has a Special Scholarship for Girls, encouraging education for young women.
Eligibility Criteria
There are two categories for this scholarship:
1. General Scholarship
For Students After Class 12:
- Must have passed Class 12 with at least 60% marks (from 2021 to 2024).
- Should have joined the first year of a degree, diploma, vocational, or ITI course in 2024-25.
- Family income must not be more than โน2,50,000 per year. Special cases like single mothers may get relaxation.
For Students After Class 10:
- Must have passed Class 10 with at least 60% marks.
- Should be enrolled in vocational, diploma, or ITI courses for 2024-25.
- Family income must not exceed โน2,50,000 per year.
2. Special Scholarship for Girls
- Girls must have passed Class 10 with at least 60% marks.
- Should have joined intermediate (10+2), vocational, or diploma courses in 2024-25.
- Family income must not exceed โน2,50,000 per year.

How You Get the Money
The scholarship amount is sent directly to the studentโs bank account through NEFT. Applicants must ensure their bank accounts are active and provide correct details like IFSC codes.
Terms and Conditions
- Only undergraduate and diploma/vocational students can apply. Postgraduate students cannot.
- Students must score at least 55% (medical/engineering) or 50% (other courses) to keep getting the scholarship.
- If multiple students have the same marks, those with lower family income will get preference.
- Students receiving other private scholarships cannot apply, but government scholarships are allowed.
- Regular attendance and good academic performance are required.
- Only one scholarship per family is allowed, except for girl candidates.
- Providing false information will lead to cancellation of the scholarship.

Students must apply online through the LIC website (https://licindia.in) before 22nd December 2024. After applying, students will receive an acknowledgment email. LICโs local offices will handle further communication.
Selection Process
