What is the Agnipath Scheme?
The Agnipath Scheme was started by the Ministry of Defence on 14th June 2022. Under this scheme, young people are hired for a short service period of 4 years in the Air Force, Army, and Navy. Candidates hired this way are called “Agniveers.”
Age Limit for Agniveer Vayu
Candidates must be born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates included). Only candidates who fall in this age range can apply. If a candidate clears all stages of selection, their age on the date of joining should not be more than 22 years.
Educational Qualification

Salary and Benefits (Pay Scale)
Agniveers are paid a “Customized Package” every month. Out of this, 70% is given in hand, and 30% is saved for a future fund called the Agniveer Corpus Fund.

Exam Pattern
The online test is objective type (multiple choice). Questions come in both English and Hindi, except the English paper itself. Each correct answer gives 1 mark, and 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

Candidates who pass the online exam are called for the Physical Fitness Test. This has two parts.
