Dibrugarh University has officially announced its prestigious Pragati Summer Internship Programme 2025, offering a unique opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students to gain hands-on experience in the field of science. Sponsored by DST-PURSE (Project No. SR/PURSE/2022/143), this internship aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application, in line with the National Education Policy 2020.
Programme Overview
The Pragati Summer Internship Programme 2025 is designed to help students:
- Understand the world of work.
- Build research aptitude and professional competency.
- Develop decision-making and teamwork skills.
- Get exposure to emerging technologies.
This programme will benefit:
- 30 undergraduate (UG) students from Dibrugarh University-affiliated colleges.
- 20 postgraduate (PG) students from any university/college.
Duration and Stipend
- UG Internship: 4 weeks | ₹5000 (Consolidated stipend)
- PG Internship: 6 weeks | ₹7500 (Consolidated stipend)
- Internship Period: 15th June to 15th August 2025
(Start and end dates can be decided between the supervisor and the intern.)
Eligibility Criteria
For UG Students:
- Must be pursuing 4th semester FYUGP course.
- No active backlogs.
- Minimum 7.5 CGPA till 3rd semester (7.0 CGPA for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
- Must be from colleges affiliated with Dibrugarh University.
For PG Students:
- Must be in 2nd semester of postgraduation.
- No active backlogs.
- Minimum 7.5 CGPA in 1st semester (7.0 CGPA for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
- Open to students from any university or college.

Selection Process
- Selection will be purely based on merit.
- The selected candidates’ list will be published in the 2nd week of May 2025.

Additional Information
- The department will assign supervisors to the interns.
- A detailed internship report certified by the supervisor must be submitted to the department head within two weeks of internship completion. Certificates will only be issued upon submission.
- No accommodation will be provided by the university. Interns must arrange their own stay.
