The Nijut Moina Scheme, launched by the Assam government, supports young girls’ education and aims to prevent child marriage. Nijut Moina Scheme 2024 allowance Details
Under the Nijut Moina Scheme 2024, financial assistance is provided monthly to encourage girls to continue their studies without facing any financial burden.
- For those who studying in 11th and 12th grades, the scheme offers a monthly allowance of Rs 1,000.
- Those who have moved on to pursue a degree can expect a bit more support, with the scheme providing Rs 1,250 per month.

Who are Not Eligible for Nijut Moina Scheme?
The CM of Assam has also announced some exceptions for this scheme, such as:
- Those who have received the Assam governmentโs HS scooty, are not eligible for it, but they can choose the Nijut Moina scheme instead of the scooty.
- Married girls will not eligible for this scheme.
- Girls who are in-service and admitted to the B.Ed. course on deputation are excluded from the scheme.
- The daughters of Ministers, MPs, and MLAs are not eligible for this scheme.

- The Registrars or Principals will gather and verify the application forms through their respective portals, then submit the verified data for auto-verification in the system.
- From the second year onwards, students do not need to submit an application form. Instead, a certificate from the institution’s head, confirming the student’s continued enrollment, will be enough to receive benefits.
- Heads of Institutions should designate one or two Nodal Teachers to oversee the implementation of the MMNM Scheme in their institutions.
- Guardians have the option to decide whether their daughters will submit applications for the scheme’s benefits, as some may prefer not to apply.
