Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0 Launched on October, 2024
The Assam government has introduced the second phase of the Atmanirbhar Assam Abhiyan 2.0 (CMAAA), aimed at supporting 75,000 young entrepreneurs. This phase will provide financial aid ranging from INR 2 lakh to INR 5 lakh.
In the previous phase, the government distributed a total of INR 510 crore to more than 25,000 entrepreneurs. Building on that foundation, the second phase aspires to further strengthen the entrepreneurial landscape in Assam.

Objective of the Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Yojana

- Age between 28 and 45 years as of April 1, 2023 (age relaxation up to 43 years for SC/ST/OBC categories).
- Minimum educational qualification: Class X pass for general category (relaxed to Class X for SC/ST/OBC). Qualifications like ITI, Polytechnic, Diploma in Technical Courses, or professional degrees like Engineering, MBBS, BDS, Agriculture, etc., are also accepted.
- Must be registered with the Employment Exchange.
- Must hold an account in a Scheduled Commercial Bank opened before April 1, 2024.
- Should not have defaulted on any loans.
- Only one family member is eligible to benefit from this yojana.
Benefits of the Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Assam Yojana
- Selected beneficiaries will receive financial aid ranging from INR 2 lakh to INR 5 lakh, which will be directly transferred to their bank accounts.
- A total of 2 lakh beneficiaries will be covered under this yojana.
- There will be a grace period of five years for repayment, and no interest will be charged.
- The yojana aims to create more employment opportunities across the state.
