Eligible Institutes
- Recognized universities or colleges under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, with NAAC accreditation.
- Deemed Universities recognized under section 3 of the UGC Act with valid NAAC status.
- Institutes of National Importance and others recognized by statutory councils.
Course Type
- Must be enrolled in the first year of a regular full-time undergraduate course.
- Only the UG component of integrated or dual degree programmes is covered.
- Courses through open, private, or distance mode are not eligible.
Income Limit
- Family annual income must not exceed ₹4.5 lakh.
Domicile
- Must hold a valid domicile certificate from any North Eastern state.
Who Cannot Apply
The following students are not eligible for this scholarship:
- Those pursuing courses through Open Universities.
