DEE Assam Recruitment 2025 – Special Educator Jobs

The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has released an official notification for the recruitment of 228 Special Educators in Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) schools.

If you are a qualified teacher with a diploma or B.Ed. in Special Education and have cleared ATET/CTET, this is a golden opportunity for you. The application process will be conducted online only from 28 August 2025 to 30 September 2025 on the official DEE Assam website.

Vacancy Details

Special Educator (LP Schools): 120 posts

• Salary: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 + Grade Pay ₹7,400

Special Educator (UP Schools): 108 posts

• Salary: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 + Grade Pay ₹8,700

Eligibility Criteria for DEE Assam Recruitment 2025

Educational Qualification

For LP Schools

• Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Special Education (recognized by RCI)
• Must have passed ATET/CTET (LP)

For UP Schools

• Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed. in Special Education (recognized by RCI)
• Must have passed ATET/CTET (UP)

Age Limit (as on 1 August 2025)

• Unreserved (UR): Up to 40 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Up to 42 years
• OBC/MOBC: Up to 43 years
• SC/ST(P)/ST(H): Up to 45 years
• Persons with Disability (PwD): Up to 50 years

👉 Minimum age: 18 years

Other Important Conditions

• Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.
• Small Family Norms: Candidates with more than two living children after 1 January 2021 are not eligible.
• Language Requirement: ATET/CTET language must match the medium of instruction in the school applied for.
• Application Fee: Not mentioned in the notification.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on a district-wise and category-wise merit list.
