Eligibility Criteria for SCERT Assam D.El.Ed PET 2024

To be eligible for the D.El.Ed PET 2024, candidates must:

• Educational Qualification: Have completed Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks. SC/ST candidates receive a 5% relaxation.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 34 years old as of July 1, 2024. There’s a 2-year relaxation for SC, ST (P), and ST (H) category candidates.

SCERT Assam D.El.Ed PET Syllabus 2024

The State Educational Research and Training Council will conduct an entrance exam to select top candidates for the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the syllabus to guide your preparation:

Section-I (Total Marks: 35)

1. General English (10 Marks)

• Vocabulary, tenses, verbs, prepositions, comprehension, voice change, narration, adverbs, synonyms, antonyms.

2. General Knowledge (15 Marks)

• Current affairs, notable personalities, abbreviations, Indian constitution, Assam’s history, major inventions, sports, arts and culture, everyday science, global organizations, Indian geography, educational commissions and committees, new educational initiatives.

3. Reasoning (10 Marks)

• Logical and analytical reasoning, patterns, etc.

Section-II: Total Marks: 65

1. General Mathematics (15 Marks)

• Natural numbers, whole numbers, even/odd numbers, prime/composite numbers, place value, basic operations, factors/multiples, LCM/HCF, fractions, percentages, money-related problems, geometry, measurements, data representation, square roots, ratio and proportion, simple algebraic equations.

2. General Science & Environmental Studies (15 Marks)

• Natural and social environments, environmental degradation causes (pollution, deforestation, etc.), biodiversity, environmental protection, states of matter, chemical reactions, force, energy, motion, cell structures, plant adaptations, microorganisms, temperature measurement, acids/bases/salts, light, weather, respiration.

3. Social Science (20 Marks)

• Natural and human resources, atmosphere layers, Indian freedom movement, Indian constitution, democracy, Ahom kingdom, ancient civilizations, government structures, earth’s structure, consumer rights, financial institutions’ roles, transport, agriculture and industrial development, post-independence India, medieval administrators’ contributions in Assam.

4. Language (15 Marks)

• Language learning objectives, importance, phrases and idioms, skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing), language teaching methods, home language vs. mother tongue, grammar rules (suffixes, prefixes, number agreements), reading comprehension, Nattabidhi, Sattabidhi.

This syllabus is designed to comprehensively assess your readiness for the D.El.Ed program, covering fundamental knowledge and practical understanding across a range of subjects.

SCERT D.El.Ed Entrance Exam 2024 Result

Following the successful conclusion of the DElEd entrance exam, SCERT is set to announce the results on September 23, 2024. Candidates can access their results online via the official website by inputting their application number and password.
