The Government of Assam has launched a new initiative called the Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme 2025 to support young graduates as they step into their career journey. Under this scheme, fresh graduates of 2025 will receive ₹2,500 per month for one full year, helping them prepare for jobs, competitive exams, or start basic self-employment activities.

The application process is completely online through the official DIDS Portal, and eligible students can apply from 3 November to 30 November 2025.

1. Permanent Residency

• The applicant must be a resident of Assam.

2. Educational Qualification

• Must be a fresh graduate (only 2025 pass-out).
• Degree should be from a government or public institution of State or Central Government located in Assam.
• Students from private colleges or open universities are not eligible.

3. Employment Status

• The applicant must not be employed in any job.

4. Further Education

• Should not have taken admission in any professional or vocational course.

5. Other Scheme Restrictions

• Should not be a beneficiary of the Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme.

6. Parental Eligibility Conditions

• Parents must not be government employees, public office holders, ministers, MLAs, MPs, or pensioners
  (Grade IV employees are exempt).
• Parents should not be government contractors.
• Family income from profession should not exceed ₹10 lakh per year.

Verification & Payment Process

The government has set a clear timeline to ensure fast and transparent distribution.

• Applications will be checked by the respective institutions
  till 31 December 2025.

✔ Department Verification

• The Skill & Employment Department will finalize the beneficiary list
  by 10 January 2026.

✔ Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)

• Monthly assistance will be deposited directly into bank accounts from
  1 February 2026 onwards.
