Every year, 80,000 scholarships are awarded under this scheme, with equal allocation for male and female students. The application process is entirely online via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), making it easy and transparent for applicants across India.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Central Sector Scholarship 2025, students must meet the following conditions:
- Be among the top 20% scorers (above 80th percentile) in Class 12 from their respective boards.
- Enrolled in regular degree courses (distance learning and diploma courses are not eligible).
- Studying in an institution recognized by AICTE, UGC, or other regulatory bodies.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹4.5 lakh.
- Not availing any other scholarship or fee reimbursement scheme.

How to Apply for Central Sector Scholarship 2025
- Visit the National Scholarship Portal – scholarships.gov.in.
- Register as a new user via the ‘New Registration’ link.
- Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process with Aadhaar verification.
- Log in with your credentials and choose ‘Fresh Application’.
- Fill in personal, academic, and income details.
- Upload required documents (income certificate, caste certificate if applicable, Class 12 mark sheet, etc.).
- Review your application and click ‘Final Submit’.

Renewal of Scholarship
