Assam Forest Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Nationality & Residency

• Candidate must be a Citizen of India
• Must be a Permanent Resident of Assam
• Must be registered with Assam Employment Exchange
• Should know Assamese or any State language

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• Forester-I, Forest Guard, Game Watcher, Constable Grade-III: 18 to 40 Years
• AFPF Constable, Fireman, Emergency Rescuer, Boatman: 18 to 25 Years
• Sub-Officer: 20 to 24 Years

Age Relaxation

• SC / ST – 5 Years
• OBC / MOBC – 3 Years
• Trained Home Guards – 3 Years

Educational Qualification (Post-wise)

• Forester Grade-I:
  Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
• Sub-Officer / Constable (WO/WT):
  H.S. (Science) with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths)

  HSLC (Class 10) pass
• Boatman:

Selection Process – Assam Forest Recruitment 2026

The selection process includes physical, written, and viva tests:

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – 40 Marks
• Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualifying only
• Written Exam – 50 to 100 Marks (post-wise)
• Walking Test (Forest posts only)
