Evolution of the Award

Before 2019, students who qualified for the Anundoram Borooah Award received a laptop along with internet connection, digital NCERT books, and online learning materials. But from 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and difficulties in getting laptops, the government started giving cash instead of laptops. This year, in 2025, each eligible student will get ₹15,000 directly in their bank account.
Anundoram Borooah Award 2025 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this award in 2025, students must fulfill the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification: Must have secured Star Marks (75% or above) in the HSLC examination 2025.
- Board: Must have passed the exam under the SEBA (Assam) board.
- Passing Year: Must have appeared and passed the HSLC exam in the year 2025.
