Railway RRB ALP Recruitment 2026: 11,127 Vacancies Announced – Apply Online

The Railway Recruitment Board under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has officially published the Centralized Employment Notification (CEN) 01/2026 for the recruitment of 11,127 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) vacancies across different RRB zones in the country. The online application process for the RRB ALP Recruitment 2026 will begin on 15 May 2026 and continue until 14 June 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for RRB ALP 2026

To apply for Assistant Loco Pilot posts, candidates must meet the following eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed Matriculation/SSLC along with an ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT recognised institutions in trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Diesel Mechanic, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic, and other related trades.

OR

Applicants who have completed Matriculation/SSLC along with a Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in the above-mentioned trades are also eligible.

OR

Candidates possessing Matriculation/SSLC with a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering, or a combination of these engineering streams, from a recognised institution can apply instead of ITI qualifications.

Note: Engineering degree holders in the relevant disciplines will also be considered eligible in place of a Diploma qualification. However, candidates who are still awaiting their final examination results or completion certificates are not eligible to submit applications.

Age Limit:

Applicants should be between 18 and 30 years of age as of 1 July 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for upper age relaxation as per government rules.
