APSC Grade IV Recruitment 2025
The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has announced a new recruitment drive for Grade IV positions in 2025. Eligibility Criteria
Citizenship and Domicile
- Must be an Indian citizen as per Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution.
- Must hold a valid Permanent Resident Certificate or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate of Assam.
Educational Qualification
- Minimum qualification: Passed Class 8 (VIII).
- Maximum qualification allowed: Passed Higher Secondary (HSSLC) or Class 12.
- Candidates with qualifications higher than Class 12 are not eligible.
- Self-declaration regarding qualifications as per annexure in the official notification is mandatory.
Age Limit
- Age should be between 18 and 40 years as of 1st January 2025.
- Age relaxation applicable:
- Ex-Servicemen: +2 years
- OBC/MOBC: +3 years
- SC/ST: +5 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): +10 years
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary as per Pay Band-1, ranging from ₹12,000 to ₹52,000, along with a Grade Pay of ₹3,900. They will also get other government allowances as per Assam State Government rules.
Selection Process
The recruitment will be carried out in two main stages:
Phase 1: Screening Test (OMR Based)
- Objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

- Duration: 2 Hours
- Level: Class 6, 7, and 8 syllabus

Phase 2: Interview

- Interviews follow the category-wise reservation rule in the ratio of 1:5.
