Assam Nijut Moina Scheme 2025 Form has been officially released on 6th August 2025 for eligible girl students pursuing Higher Secondary, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate courses in government and venture institutions across Assam.

Launched by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the scheme provides monthly financial assistance to promote girls’ higher education. Students can collect and submit the application form through their respective institutions starting from 6th August 2025.
What is the Assam Nijut Moina Scheme 2025?
The Nijut Moina scheme is a financial assistance program that offers monthly incentives to girl students for their continued education. The primary objective is to:
- Increase girl enrolment in higher education.
- Reduce school and college dropout rates.
- Eliminate child marriage by encouraging academic progression.

Who is Eligible for MMNM Scheme 2025?
✅ Eligible Candidates:
- Unmarried girls domiciled in Assam.
- Enrolled in HS 1st Year, UG 1st Year, or PG 1st Year in government or venture institutions.
- Married girls enrolled in PG or B.Ed. courses are also eligible.
- Students who opt out of receiving scooters under the Banikanta Kakati Award.
❌ Not Eligible:
- Students from private institutions.
- Daughters of Ministers/MPs/MLAs.
- Girls who already received scooters under the Banikanta Kakati Award and did not opt out.
- In-service B.Ed. students on deputation.
How to Apply for Nijut Moina Scheme 2025?
Students must follow these steps to submit their application:
- Collect Application Form: Obtain the prescribed form from your current educational institution.
- Fill in Details: Complete the form carefully with accurate information.
- Submit to Institute: Submit the filled form to your institution’s administration.
- Institutional Verification: The Registrar or Principal will verify and upload the data to the official portal.
Note: From 2nd year onwards, no fresh application is needed. A certificate of continuity from the Head of the Institution is sufficient to continue receiving benefits.

Important Guidelines for Beneficiaries
- Students must attend classes regularly and follow all institutional rules.
- Misconduct, ragging, cheating, or any indiscipline may lead to withdrawal of benefits.
- The scheme does not cover any vacation period longer than one month.
Objectives of the Nijut Moina Scheme
- Boost enrolment of girls in higher studies.
- Promote education beyond Class 10 among girls.
- Improve Assam’s Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER).
- Reduce early marriages by encouraging girls to stay in education longer.
Merging of Mobility Grant Scheme
The previous Mobility Grant Scheme for PG students has now been merged with MMNM. Therefore, there will be no separate application for Mobility Grants from 2025 onwards.

A statewide launch event was organized on 6th August 2025 and was broadcasted live across schools and colleges to create awareness and encourage eligible students to apply.
