Educational Qualification: You must have passed BA, BSc, BCom, MA, MSc, MCom, or an equivalent degree from a recognised Board or University.

How to Apply for GU B.Ed Admission 2026?

Follow these simple steps to complete your application:

Step 1: Register on the Portal: Go to the official Gauhati University admission portal. Register using your mobile number and email address. First-time users must register before they can log in.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form: After logging in, fill in your personal details and educational information carefully. Make sure all details match your original documents.

Step 3: Upload Documents: Upload a recent passport-size photograph and your signature in the required format and size as mentioned on the portal.

Step 4: Select Exam Centres: Choose three preferred exam centres from the available list. You will be assigned one centre based on availability.

Step 5: Pay the Application Fee: Pay the application fee online using debit card, credit card, internet banking, or UPI. No offline payment is accepted.

Step 6: Submit and Save Acknowledgement: After payment, submit the form. Download and save the acknowledgement receipt. You will need it for admit card download and counselling later.

Tie-Breaking Rules in GUBEDCET

When two or more candidates score the same marks in GUBEDCET, their ranking is decided in the following order:

  1. Ratio of Positive to Negative Marks: The candidate with the higher ratio of positive marks to negative marks gets the better rank.
  2. Number of Unanswered Questions: If still tied, the candidate with fewer unanswered questions gets a better rank.
  3. Age: If still tied after the above two criteria, the older candidate gets the higher rank.
