Assam University Diphu is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Guest Faculty in the Department of Commerce. This recruitment is for a temporary role with specific eligibility criteria and an attractive remuneration package.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must meet one of the following sets of criteria:

Set A:

1. Educational Qualification:

• A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale system) in the relevant subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

2. Additional Qualifications:

• Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
• Alternatively, candidates with a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 (and their amendments) are exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.

Set B:

• A Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Rankings at any time by one of the following: Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), Times Higher Education (THE), or the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Selection Process:

Interested candidates are invited to participate in a walk-in interview scheduled for 27th August 2024 at 11:00 am. The interview will be held at the R.B Conference Hall, Semson Sing Ingti Administrative Building, Assam University, Diphu Campus.

Application Procedure:

Candidates are required to submit a duly filled application form along with self-attested copies of all supporting documents. These documents should be submitted to the office of the Head, Department of Commerce, Assam University, Diphu, no later than 27th August 2024.
